Well, nothing better than waking up in Allston to a sunny day, smoking a cigarette, and hanging out with the band. The only downside to this weekend so far is that we didn’t get in the city in time to go to The Pill, but tomorrow night will make up for it. Really excited to see The Blakes, and of course Twin Berlin. I am also excited to be working with Drew in filming the video tomorrow, which reminds me, if you’re around you should come to TTs tomorrow night and be part of the music video. I’ve just heard some rough recordings of the EP and by the sounds of it this is going to be the best yet. If you like the Twin Single then you’ll definitely want to get your hands on this EP when it comes out. As I’ve told you in past posts, I’m doing my best to find out when the free digital release of the EP will take place but the guys aren’t giving up any information just yet. Shit, I guess we’re all going to Bagel Rising and I don’t want to miss out, haha. See you all tomorrow night! That’s right, 9pm at TT The Bears in Cambridge.cmo

Sunday night Twin Berlin are going to start filming a music video for their upcoming EP which is estimated for release around Christmas. The filming is going to take place at the TT The Bears show in Cambridge with The Blakes, so come to the show and be a part of the upcoming music video. As far as the EP goes, I’ve been told there will be a free digital release in December and the official release has yet to be decided but is expected to be some time in early January. Go to www.twinberlin.com and sign up to be on the band’s mailing list. There you will be able to find out when the free digital release will take place as well as other very exciting news in the world of Twin Berlin. Don’t miss them in Cambridge sunday night! I’ll do my best to keep you all informed here, but seriously, you’ll be the first to know about what the band is doing by joining the mailing list. I’m sure I’ll be writing between now and this weekend but if I don’t I’m looking forward to seeing everyone at TTs this weekend!

wellity wellity wellity,
I came home from work yesterday evening and turned on seinfeld. as i was watching and the show broke into commercials, there it was, in all its glory. an announcement about the mtv vma breakout boston show at six flags. they have put the footage on demand in the new england area (not sure exactly what that region includes), but if you want to look it up, it’s easy:
go to comcast on demand
choose get local
choose mtv2 local music
There you will find live footage from the tracks “Fake It Well” and “They’ll Never Give Up”, plus there is an exclusive mtv2/comcast interview!
For all of you out of the area, we are trying hard to get a copy of the footage for ourselves, we’ll keep you posted.
Do work,
James

So we just got a pleasant visit from the police regarding a noise complaint. The funny thing is is that we’ve been practicing in this apartment since we’ve been a band and have never had any problems and the day before the lease is up the cops turn us off. A few minutes after the police left someone came to the door and dropped off a business card for a rehearsal space a block away. Well, at least we got away with free practice space this long. Aside from that, thank you Allston for a great time last night at The Pill at Great Scott! We can’t wait to come back and play again. Also, thanks to Mike for setting up the show and having great musical taste (I was extremely impressed with the DJ set). Hah, Knobs just walked in the room and is still talking about how the cops were hassling him. He’s also playing bar mitzvah songs on his brand new melodica. That’s all for now, hope to see you all this thursday at the MTV VMA six flags show!
